The Peterborough based Cambridge Safety Partnership was set up by husband and wife team, Paul and Jackie Cambridge in 1999. Its purpose is to help the business sector to keep within the bounds of current health,safety and environmental legislation and to improve the overall standards of safety. We now have a team of five H&S specialists providing a full range of health and safety consultancy and training. All our trainers are also practising H&S professionals who bring their workplace experiences to the classroom to bring even the most technical H&S concepts alive.
Who are we?
Cambridge Safety is a Gold Learning Partner of the National Examination Board of Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH). They are approved to run a variety of its professional health and safety and environmental qualifications. Starting with the most highly recognised H&S qualification in the UK the Nebosh General Certificate in H&S. Other certificate level qualifications include the Fire Safety Certificate, Environmental Management Certificate and Managing of Construction Safety Certificate. In recognition of our high standards and outstanding support throughout the learner journey, we are a Gold partner in Nebosh’s course Provider system.
For those looking to develop their role as a full time H&S professional we provide the Nebosh Diploma For Health and Safety Professionals both as a fully taught classroom based course or via distance learning.
For those starting their health and safety journey we are able to offer the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) Managing Safely qualification.
In conjunction with Nebosh and the IIRSM we also offer an online certificate in risk management which builds on general health and safety but looks broader at the wider range of risks which businesses face today.
All our accrediated and approved qualifications are run at our purpose designed training centre in Peterborough. To ensure delegates get an oppotunity to real learn and engage with concepts we run a majority of our taught programes on a day release basis. Attending one day a week gives delegates the opportunity to go back to work and review how the issues explored on the course day are being dealt with in their organsiation. This hopefully allows students the opportunity to obtain a good balance between work, study and also meeting their committments outside of work.
For those unable to commit to face to face study we have E-Learning options available for a number of Nebosh qualifications.
Our pass rates are consistently well over the national average for all qualifications.
Jackie Cambridge, as our centre head, is a Fellow of IOSH and the CIPD along with being a member of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM) and being registered on the Occupational Health and Safety consultants register. All our H&S practitioners belong to IOSH and participae in the IOSH continious professional development programme.
In addition to our formal programme of H&S qualifications we are also able to run a full range of in-house courses, developing bespoke courses which include specific organisational content and policies making the training 100% relevant and applicable to your in-house team.
What ever the course you select it will be highly informative and include practical exercises to bring the learning alive. The taught sessions are supported by comprehensive set of handouts and delegates can also watch our “Take Five” videos which give an outline of a key H&S topic in just 5 to 10 minutes where pplicable. We recommend a maximum of 15 delegates to ensure an effective amount of tutor delegate interaction, but this number may be lower depending on the exact nature of course selected.
All our trainers are practising health and safety or health, safety and environment professionals to ensure that any training given is both presented professionally and with an emphasis on the practical application of H&S and environmental safety practice.
