Here at Cambridge Safety, we are passionate about helping all our delegates pass their courses with flying colours. We’re also aware that taking on any health and safety course is a fairly large commitment, and that is why we aim to make it as simple and hassle-free as possible. This is why we are excited to announce our new eLearning platform!
For the General Certificate, the Qualification is split into 11 elements, each element has the study notes to read through, at least one presentation to work through with interactive quizzes, and multiple YouTube videos and podcasts. Our new platform now allows you to “tick off” every item you have studied fully to keep track of your progress. Once you have fully studied an element there is an end of element review to complete and send in for tutor marking and feedback. This is an important part of your learning journey to check your understanding of the topics and how to apply your knowledge to the end assessments.
Once the delegate has completed all elements they are ready to register for their end assessments – an Open Book Exam (GNC1) accessed online via the Nebosh portal and a work based risk assessment project (GNC2), all of the guidance and material is available on the platform, along with a revision pack for the GNC1, but the Cambridge Safety team will be in regular contact offering exam dates and providing everything needed when the delegate registers.
What is eLearning? What are the benefits?
Our eLearning offering gives you access to all the course material and resources you need, all in one place online. This is a more interactive option of learning with quizzes to complete at the end of each element. You will also have access to tutor support throughout to ensure you can fully understand each element of the course and ask any questions you may have. This is because we understand the importance of having great support when taking on any health and safety courses.
Whether you are taking the course individually or coordinating a team’s training, it can be challenging to find the right dates and an ideally located training centre for all involved. Our eLearning option aims to give you the flexibility to learn from anywhere at any time. Making learning work for you and your team, without compromising on the quality of support available.

How does it work?
Upon payment, you will receive login details for our eLearning website, which will give you access to all of your course materials, and you are good to go! Once you have been issued your login details, you will be granted access to the portal and tutor support for a year. This allows you plenty of time to complete all the elements at your own pace. Although you have a year of access, this does not mean that you need to take any assessments during this period, and you can take them after the package ends if you prefer.
Our eLearning portal has all the materials, books and handouts you would get doing the course in person (and more!), meaning that you don’t need to purchase anything else. With podcasts, video presentations, and a wide range of documentation to get stuck into, we give you the best chance of passing first time.
