At Cambridge Safety, we provide practical support for companies, schools, community groups, individuals and the public sector who wanted to improve their environment. Environmental awareness training helps them optimise the use of natural resources and implement formal or informal environmental management systems.
We can provide a range of bespoke training to suit your individual needs; these courses can be run on your premises if you have a suitable training venue or at our purpose-designed training centre in Peterborough for no additional fees.
For any company implementing or operating an Environmental Management System, the standard requires that employees receive environmental awareness training for issues related to their job. Staff may be asked to demonstrate to the certification body that they are competent in their knowledge of the company’s environmental policy, objectives & targets, significant environmental aspects and job-related procedures.
We are now able to offer the Nebosh EAW (Environmental Awareness at Work) Award, which provides a great introduction to a wide range of environmental issues. It also gives the credibility of having delegates able to take a formal assessment at the end to verify their learning. The evaluation is done in the form of a multiple-choice assessment and is therefore accessible to individuals of all levels within the organisation.
Contact us for a bespoke quotation letting us know what environmental issues are of particular relevance, and we can build the environmental awareness training course for your Nebosh Award Qualification. Courses are a minimum of 1 day, but the course can be developed to cover critical issues relevant to your business in more detail with 2 or 3 days options available.
The qualification covers two-course elements, one on environmental management and one on critical environmental issues including:
- Air pollution
- Noise
- Water
- Water Pollution
- Emergency Procedures
