NEBOSH Qualifications

Cambridge Safety is a NEBOSH Gold Learning partner, running a range of health and safety courses leading to NEBOSH qualifications. These are the most highly recognised qualifications in the field of health and safety, being recognised not only in the UK but internationally as well.

NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) was formed in 1979 as an independent examining board and awarding body with charitable status. They have established a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications designed to meet modern health, safety, environmental and risk management needs. With over 50,000 NEBOSH qualifications taken each year, the NEBOSH training courses are applicable to all workplaces including offices, factories, hospitals and higher risk industries such as the oil and gas sectors.

The qualifications gained are recognised by the relevant professional membership bodies including the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

Frequently Asked Questions

How often are NEBOSH Certificate exams held?

The Nebosh General Certificate exams are held every 2 months, and the Nebosh Construction, Fire Safety and Environment Management are held every 3 months.

Do I need to have completed any other courses before starting a NEBOSH certificate?

No, all our certificate courses are designed to give you the knowledge you need to pass the exams. All handouts and course materials are provided so no additional books or publications need to be purchased. At diploma level delegates are expected to also do their own research outside of the course materials.

Which NEBOSH training course is best?

There are a range of NEBOSH training courses to choose from, and it’s important to choose one that is relevant to your work, interests or career goals. Make sure the course gives you the qualification necessary for your workplace or next steps on the career ladder. If you’re looking for a good starting point, we recommend the NEBOSH General Certificate or the NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate. Once you have found a suitable course, you’ll then want to think about how you’d like to be taught. If you thrive off face-to-face learning, our classroom courses are best. Otherwise, you should strongly consider an online course for more flexibility and the ability to learn at your own pace.
