NEBOSH Environmental Diploma

The Nebosh Environmental Diploma was launched in 2017 and since then employers in the UK and overseas have been utilising these essential skills to improve their ethos and overall management.

As well as protecting the environment and demonstrating social responsibility, this course will also help your organisation avoid prosecution, litigation or loss of reputation from environmental mismanagement.

At Cambridge Safety, we focus on the little details to ensure you receive the finest education experience that is both informative and enjoyable. We take the time to ensure you have a thorough understanding of the subject matter and give you the confidence to put new skills into practice.

What does the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma course involve?

One of the few professional courses available in environmental management, this NEBOSH diploma is aimed at safety practitioners who have responsibility for environmental management at work.

By the end of the course all delegates will be able to demonstrate environmental excellence and social responsibility. You will know how to effectively manage environmental issues for an organisation. Key areas the course covers include sustainability, hazardous waste, pollution control, and environmental legislation.

Those holding the Nebosh National Diploma in Environmental Management can apply to be a non-chartered Member of CIWEM (MCIWEM) once they have achieved their qualification. Holders of this qualification can use the designatory letters EnvDipNEBOSH after their name.

Taught over two units, delegates will need to complete a three hour exam and work-based project to successfully complete the course. This will need to be achieved within five years of enrolling on an accredited course.
Enrollment fees are included in the cost of your course.

The NDEM2 is a formal assignment set by Nebosh where candidates have to demonstrate their knowledge and practical application of some of the important subjects from Units ED1 and NDEM2. The assignment requires the completion of a 10,000+ word vocational based report which must show that the candidate has both the knowledge and skills to apply the issues taught in a workplace of their choice.

This assignment is marked by Nebosh markers with four submission dates a year in February, May, August and November for delegates to work towards.

This is one of the few professional courses available in environmental management, it is aimed primarily at health safety practitioners, who either have responsibility for environmental management or those whose role interlinks with that of the environmental manager. However it is open to all those who have responsibility for general or a specific aspect of the environment.

Many employers give responsibility for environmental management to the organisation’s safety advisor or manager. Holding the Nebosh diploma will provide the holder with the confidence to undertake their role, as well as being an indicator of the competence inside and external to the organisation.

Yes, we can accept a small number of external delegates, however this will be dependent on availability of spaces, please contact us on 01733 865695 to confirm the date and availability. Please note, you must be enrolled with a Nebosh training centre and you will need to contact them regarding sitting your exam with us.
