This intensive yet informative course has been updated to meet the needs of the new 2020 syllabus. This qualification is run over nine days plus two assessment days. The course is run on a day release basis to suit the needs of both student and employer. Delegates are expected to undertake private study and revision outside of the taught lessons.
The course is highly participative with tutor presentations supported by the use of practical exercises, syndicate and group work, video and feedback sessions. Our pass rates consistently exceed the national average – our January 2024 classroom course had a 85% NG1 pass rate!
The course programme covers the legal background to H&S, with both common and statute law explored. From here the concepts of accidents, hazard, risk and risk assessment are examined, giving delegates an opportunity to complete a range of different risk assessments: general, manual handling, display screen equipment and chemical.
Delegates will complete a range of revision exercises to ensure they have the underpinning knowledge needed to succeed in their examination.
Full guidance for the GNC1 open book exam and GNC2 risk assessment practical is provided during the course.
Our tutors are all practicing health and safety professionals, who have over 25 years experience developing, presenting and examining on the NEBOSH Certificate. They are able to use their practical hands on experience to support their excellent presentation skills, aiming to make the course both informative and interactive.
