An informative and interesting course, I have learned a lot and enjoyed the classroom activities. All trainers were great, helpful, enthusiastic, informative and friendly.
If you’re new to risk assessment or would like a refresher on the key aspects of risk assessment in the workplace, this new NEBOSH course could be perfect for you.
Whichever category you fall into, this course will teach you all of the essential skills and information you need to carry out risk assessments at work safely and comprehensively.
With no pre-entry requirements, this is an ideal starting point for those looking to begin carrying out risk assessments.
This course is currently only available as an in house course for 4 – 12 delegates.
What does the course cover?
By the end of this course, you will have acquired the following skills:
- How to identify hazards
- How to assess risks using HSE tools
- How to evaluate risks proportionately
- How to identify control measures
We will also prepare you for the end of course assessment, which typically lasts for up to an hour and begins with a video clip of a real workplace. After watching this, you will be required to complete a risk assessment based on the footage and identify how to manage and prioritise the risks identified.
Upon completion of the assessment, you’ll have learned practical skills which will help you create a safer working environment. We’ll provide you with feedback on your assessment and conclude the course with a briefing and guidance.
You’ll also receive a NEBOSH award certificate for passing the assessment.
Who is the course suitable for?
This course has no pre-entry requirements and is intended for managers, supervisors, SHE champions, union representatives and those who are already involved in health and safety and risk assessments
