This intensive yet informative course is run over four days with the examination and revision on day five. The course is run on a day release basis to suit the needs of both student and employer. Delegates are expected to undertake private study and revision outside of the taught lessons.
The course is highly participative with tutor presentations supported by the use of practical
exercises, syndicate and group work, video and feedback sessions. No additional resources need to be purchased as we provide all the study material needed including an extensive study book.
The course programme begins with an introduction to Process Safety and how it differs from but is linked to personal safety. The importance of safety leadership and engagement, moving on some of the specific hazards associated with process safety installations including electricity, static, steam, fire and explosions. Process safety controls including safe operating procedures, starting up procedures, safe shift handover and emergency procedures are all explored.
Our tutors are practising health and safety professionals and those who work in Process safety with extensive experience developing, presenting and examining on NEBOSH certificate qualifications. They are able to use their practical hands on experience to support their excellent presentational skills, aiming to make the course both informative and interactive.
The course concludes with a 90 minute multiple choice format examination set by Nebosh, this is taken on the final course day after a revision and review session.
