Nebosh IIRSM Certificate in Managing Risk

The Certificate in Risk Management is designed to help anyone with responsibilities to manage any aspect of risk within their organisation. If you have already completed the IOSH Managing Safely, a Nebosh Certificate or Diploma this qualification is ideal, building as it does on the wider aspects of risk management. It does not duplicate your previous study.

Course Information

The NEBOSH IIRSM Certificate in Managing Risk is an introductory level qualification in risk management. It is designed for anyone who wants to be able to identify, evaluate, and manage risks and understand their impacts for an organisation. It is particularly relevant for risk professionals looking to gain a broader view of risk beyond a specialism such as health and safety, quality, or business continuity.

 

Why take this qualification?

This qualification is available via eLearning only, which means you can complete your studies at a time, place, and pace convenient to you.

When you have completed the qualification, you will be able to:

  • understand the principles of risk and risk management;
  • source and challenge the validity of risk information;
  • understand the impact of psychology on decision making;
  • apply the risk management process to manage risk effectively; and
  • understand how to integrate the risk management framework into your organisation.

Although the course is studied online you have access to tutor support with Cambridge Safety’s experienced tutors.

How long does it take to complete the course?

You can study at your own pace but normally the course will take at least 28 hours of study plus 1 hour to take the multiple choice end assessment.

Once your login details are provided you have 90 days to work your way through the course units and complete the end assessment.

You can take the assessment at any time once you have completed your study, it can be taken twice if required. If you do not pass at the second attempt please contact us as your course provider for the options.

Course Resources

The Certificate in Managing Risk eLearning course provides everything you need to complete your studies and prepare for your assessment.

However, we know that some learners like to also have a workbook they can refer to during and after their studies! We have therefore included the qualification book in the course fee. You can opt for the eBook or a hard copy publication to provide a useful resource for reference back in the workplace.  The eBook is accessed via the Glassbox app.

Once you are registered with us, you will receive your log in details Nebosh, this will give you 90 days access to complete your study and the end of course assessment.

Do I need any previous qualifications for this course?

Whilst there are no pre-entry requirements and this course is entry level, we would recommend delegates having a basic understanding of health and safety eg IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum

What is the assessment for the Nebosh IIRSM Certificate in Managing Risk?

A 1 hour online multiple choice assessment, taken once you’ve completed your studies, at your choice of day and time.

What Study Options are available for the Nebosh IIRSM Certificate in Managing Risk?

The only study option is e-learning, you can chose either an e-book or hard copy workbook, once you have received your log in details you have 90 days to complete the course.
