An informative and interesting course, I have learned a lot and enjoyed the classroom activities. All trainers were great, helpful, enthusiastic, informative and friendly.
Do you have team members that are new to the world of risk assessment? Perhaps you’ve nominated them to complete one and they need bringing up to speed on what’s involved – or maybe you’d just like to refresh their knowledge?
We offer two Risk Assessment for Risk Assessors courses to suit your business’ individual needs. You can book an in-house course for up to 8 of your employees, offering a cost-effective day of training that will really benefit the safety of your business.
Neither has any entry requirements, so delegates don’t need any prior knowledge or experience to attend. Find out more about each below.
General Risk Assessment Training Day
Our popular risk assessor training days are the perfect introduction to risk assessment. Ideal for those who’ve never completed one before, our engaging and hands-on course will tell delegates all you need to know to get started.
They’ll learn about health and safety regulations and what’s expected of them, how to complete a risk assessment correctly and the dos and don’ts: consider it the perfect starter kit, explaining all they need to know to carry out their risk assessment responsibilities effectively.
Who is the course for?
We designed this course ourselves to train employees who have been nominated to complete general risk assessments (as required by the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999). It’s ideal for people who haven’t completed a risk assessment before.
What does the course cover?
The course sets the scene of the current legal requirements, before exploring hazard identification techniques and all the essential stages involved in completing a suitable and sufficient risk assessment. By the end of the day, delegates will have the knowledge to complete a risk assessment of their own.
HSE Nebosh Accredited Risk Assessment Course
Looking for an HSE Nebosh accredited risk assessment course to expand your team’s knowledge further? We are delighted to be one of the providers of the NEBOSH HSE Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work course.
Who is the course for?
The NEBOSH course is suitable for those new to risk assessment, and can also serve as a comprehensive refresher course for those who haven’t had risk assessment responsibilities for a while. It’s ideal for managers, supervisors, SHE champions and union representatives, and can help them work towards their CPD (Continuous Professional Development) programme.
What does the course cover?
This one-day programme explores the HSE’s expectations for employers when they complete their risk assessments. On completion of the course, delegates will have learnt:
- How to identify hazards
- How to assess risks using HSE tools
- How to evaluate risks proportionately
- How to identify control measures
The course concludes with a one-hour assessment, which we will prepare delegates for. If they pass this, each delegate will receive a NEBOSH certificate in the post.
