MEET THE TEAM | of Cambridge Safety

The Peterborough-based Cambridge Safety Partnership was set up by husband and wife team Paul and Jackie Cambridge in 1998. Its purpose is to help the business sector to keep within the bounds of current health, safety and environmental legislation and to improve the overall standards of safety.

Cambridge Safety is accredited by the National Examination Board of Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH) to run its General Certificate, H&S Diploma, the Environmental Diploma, Environmental Certificate and Construction Certificate qualifications plus the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) Managing Safely. Pass rates are well over the national average for all courses. We are Corporate members of IOSH and the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM). We are also registered on the HSE’s register of occupational H&S consultants.

We are the company that many H&S consultants send their employees to for formal training and to achieve nationally recognised H&S qualifications.

We run a full range of in-house and open courses, from short one day courses on issues such as risk assessment and practical manual handling to longer accredited courses, including those from Nebosh and IOSH. We provide a quality service with pass rates well in excess of national averages.

All our trainers are practising health, safety and environmental professionals to ensure that any training given is both presented professionally and with an emphasis on the practical application of H&S and environmental safety practice.

She has more recently written a Risk Management module for Hull University working as an associate course director assisting students in completing Masters programmes in both health and safety and environmental management.

In recognition of her role in supporting Health and Safety standards both in the workplace and more widely she was awarded her IOSH Fellowship in 2016.

His methodical and thorough approach ensures both our consultancy and training material are excellent sources of clear, concise useful advice and guidance. Paul has also developed a number of informative practical sessions on topics including manual handling, work at height and asbestos awareness. He leads the work equipment and workplace module of the H&S diploma. He has undertaken a range of Health and Safety audits with a focus on dealing effective SMS which can be run easily internally.
