The NEBOSH Construction Certificate is focused solely on the health and safety issues within the construction industry, with the management of health and safety based around the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015. It is an excellent introduction to construction health and safety management which teaches you how to complete risk assessments, audits, and inspections, as well as how to look out for key health and safety hazards on construction sites and other relevant workplaces.
With Cambridge Safety you can complete this qualification as a taught course at our training centre in Peterborough, or through one of our open learning opportunities. We are a small training provider that offers the highest quality training for all our students.

What does the course cover?
The syllabus has one unit, CN1, the first three units cover management of health and safety focused around CDM 2015 regs, with the following ten units on construction specific hazards and risk controls.

Who is the course suitable for?
The course is aimed at those within the construction industry who are required to ensure that activities under their control are undertaken safely. It is also useful for those concerned with the management of buildings who may need to ensure that contractors are working safely.
The NEBOSH Construction Certificate is suitable for:
- Construction Managers, Team Leaders, and Supervisors
- Estates and Facilities Managers
- Those involved in the selection of contractors
Those who hold the NEBOSH H&S Management in Construction Certificate are eligible for associate membership of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM). This qualification can also be used towards achieving the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Academically Qualified Person (AQP) card.

Can I retake an exam?
Yes, you can. If you need to retake an exam our tutors will offer the best support possible to make sure you’re prepared and confident in your ability to pass the exam next time round.
Can I take the exams remotely?
With the NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification you take one open book exam which is available for a 48 hour period. You will be provided login details and can complete the exam from a safe and secure location of your choice.
Which devices can I use to study online?
Our NEBOSH construction certificate online is accessible across most devices, including computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. But due to the amount of detail and information within the elearning package we would always recomend accessing via a tablet or laptop computer.
How long does it take to complete the NEBOSH Construction Certificate online?
For the e-learning studying components it’s recommended that you spend 108 hours studying, plus the two day assessment. This is a rough guide, so some delegates will complete their studies in a shorter or longer time.
